What Is Maximize Conversions?

Definition

Maximize Conversions is a Smart Bidding strategy designed to generate the most recorded conversions possible within the campaign's budget.

How Maximize Conversions Works

Google sets auction-time bids using predicted conversion likelihood and generally attempts to use the available budget. It can run without a CPA target or, where supported, with a Target CPA control.

A Simple Example

A campaign with a $200 daily budget may bid across auctions to produce the largest number of tracked calls and forms it predicts that budget can buy.

Why Maximize Conversions Matters

It is useful when conversion volume is the priority and the tracked actions have similar business value.

Common Misreading

The strategy cannot tell a qualified lead from a weak one unless your conversion setup provides that distinction. More conversions can still mean worse business results.
